Adult Volunteers
We need volunteers for our 8th Annual Outdoor Inclusive Adventures! Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks and the YMCA of Central Ohio are hosting a day of fun and inclusive activities for the whole family! Children and youth with diverse abilities and/or special health care needs along with their family, friends, and the community are invited to Prairie Oaks Metro Parks- Darby Bend Lakes to participate in inclusive outdoor fun, physical activity, and networking. Volunteers will be directed to parking by park staff. Volunteers, please check in at the Registration Table (Welcome Area on the map)at least 15 minutes before your shift! Volunteers will receive an email with a map and additional information prior to the event. The Welcome area is located by the restrooms/shelter at Lake/Area #3. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will receive a volunteer shirt and will be directed to your station. Google Maps or your GPS may take you just down the road from the entrance to our meetup. Look for balloons at Darby Bend Lakes entrance on Amity road.

Join us in serving at the Dirty Franks station at Columbus Crew games! For every volunteer who serves at a game, Dirty Franks will donate $140 to the YMCA. Orientation and a meal will be provided by Dirty Franks before the gate opens. Basic training is linked to shift registration.

Join us August 22nd and 23rd as we partner with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Midstates Recreation to build a playground for our Eldon & Elsie Ward Family YMCA. Volunteers will be helping with all aspects of the build, from preassembly to general labor to cementing and assembly. Help us create a safe space for children to play and make lasting memories. Whether you have construction experience or just a passion for serving, your contribution is invaluable.
