As the new school year approaches, we are eagerly preparing for our annual Back-to-School Rally — a transformative event dedicated to equipping families currently staying at the Van Buren Center with the essential school supplies and support they need to thrive and excel in the coming school year. WAYS TO GET INVOLVED: Volunteer: Help set up, organize supply distributions, assist families during the event, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Various shifts are available throughout the day, and there are opportunities to help both inside and outside. Donate School Items: Kids' sneakers, underwear, and socks, as well as reusable water bottles and lunchboxes* — every item counts! *We kindly request that all items donated for the event be new and in their original packaging. Provide Food & Refreshments: Support our cookout by donating food, drinks, or snacks. Sponsor Entertainment & Fun: Help make this event memorable and fun for the kids by sponsoring our face painting, cotton candy and slushie supplies, or games and prizes.
